Although the Ford GT has come and gone in the past, something about this model year feels final. Read on to find out more about this supercar.
Yes Ford is making a 2023 Ford GT, however it is the last year the famous vehicle will be made, as it is being discontinued. For this reason a number of special features are being thrown into this one of a kind supercar, but unfortunately you will not see this supercar on the road anytime soon. This vehicle will not be street legal, as it is designed as a track only supercar.
The 2023 Ford GT will also take many design cues from the vehicle made famous by the recent Ford Vs Ferrari movie, the 1967 Le Mans winner. The engine is set to deliver more than 800 horsepower, which is an impressive amount of horsepower for any vehicle, and we could not be more excited to hear about an engine that powerful in the Ford GT.
In 2023 only 67 models of the famous supercar will be built, paying homage to the 1967 Le Mans racecar winner. This means only a select few will be able to purchase the vehicle, and those looking (and who have the means) to outright buy the beautiful Ford GT, must contact the manufacturer at the Multimatic Facility in Ontario Canada directly on eligibility and cost. We imagine that most, if not all, of the vehicles have already been reserved and or purchased. Ford said on their website that the vehicles would be ready by late spring and could be delivered then.
The Ford GT Mk IV is set to start north of $1.7 million dollars. Yes you heard that correctly. $1.7 million dollars. This car is quite literally a racecar and built to be comparable to vehicles like Bugatti. Not only will it start at $1.7 million, only 67 models will be made, and 67 lucky owners will have one of the most beautiful vehicles ever made.
Unfortunately these vehicles come with a huge asterisk: they are not street legal like previous models. This supercar is designed as a track only vehicle, and from its appearance it is easy to see why. The car sits what must be less than an inch from the pavement, with no true headlights, and an engine that could rival a Nascar engine. Might not be true, but only 67 owners will get to find out just how fast this 800 horsepower racecar is.
