If you’re looking for a midsize pickup but still want something mighty, the 2020 Ford Ranger fits the bill. This truck tows up to 7,500 pounds (which is best in its class), and hauls to the tune of 1,860 pounds. That’s more than enough to take care of many people’s needs, and it’s nice to know that the power is there should you need it.
Fuel Economy
A distinct advantage of getting a midsize truck instead of a full-size is the fuel you’ll save. Ford has taken enormous strides to lose the weight in their fleet of big vehicles. The Ford Ranger is a whopping $4,000 less expensive than the base Ford F-150 and the midsize pickup comes with features you won’t find on a base F-150, such as cloth upholstery, four-way manually adjustable front seats, USB port, six-speaker stereo, built-in Wi-Fi hot spot, and voice-controlled SYNC infotainment system with 4.2-inch display screen. The Ranger also offers standard rearview camera, Ford's MyKey system, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking.
